I think this really needs an Intent to Remove. Although I'm not sure why we just
don't do the trusted events (unless we are thinking of merging this into M51).

+1.  We know there are non-trivial compat implications here, or we would have
adopted Dave's trusted events fix ages ago.  Let's keep discussing the options
and their trade offs on http://crbug.com/565760 ?
