I'm still in the process of running some benchmarks. For starters (both on my
nexus 5):

https://secure.imvu.com/web3d/demo/?force_unminified=1 went from ~200000ms to
~300ms for shader compile/linking

https://www.facebook.com/barackobama went from ~600ms to ~30ms for shader
compile/linking

I'm going to take a look at bootup time and see if there are any major
regressions.

This looks very promising.  LGTM, let's turn it on and take a look at start up
time benchmarks.
