I think we'll want to do this in a locale sensitive fashion. Can we push this
fix a bit further to do that?

We'll probably still need to do some post processing of the date value since the
names will have slashes in some cases (and that could at very least be confusing
to *everyone*).

Per offline discussion, we'll go with YYYY-MM-DD for now, and maybe tweak later.
