I know this is minor, but I would rather see functions in the IDL formatted
roughly like they are for C or C++. I don't know why some of our IDL looks like
this, but when it can fit on previous line, it should go there...  and
similarly, in multi-line situations, if they can align with the paren instead of
a 4-space indent, they should do that. Thanks.
