lgtm, though perhaps it can be redone to scale down, and then we could also see
corresponding values for medium and low.

(scaling down makes medium take its interesting case in the mip tree).

Added a downscale pass, and also a parameter that lets us control whether we're
benchmarking low, medium, or high.
