you should probably wrap this in a pass() or at least a callbackAdded().

and don't forget to remove it in a finally clause. that'd be easier if there
were a single assertion. perhaps:

});
try {
  chrome.test.assertEq([], optionsPages);
} finally {
  document.body.removeChild(extensionoptions);
}

though... really this test isn't so interesting right? you should ideally be
sending that extension a message "do you have any options pages?"
