nice test :)

we should also add a test that the options page actually gets, and can call,
privileged APIs. it can clearly call unprivileged APIs because sendMessage is
unprivileged. a fairly simple way of doing that would be to:
1- make the extension request the "storage" permission
2- make the options page call
