"bool operator(...) const", since std::less::operator() returns bool. Or are
there specific cases that you want handled here that otherwise wouldn't be?

This is how std::less is defined

I don't really know why, but they probably had a reason.

Oh interesting. I was just looking at general std::less, not the void
specialization. Can you leave that link in the comment on line 13?
