I debugged why this problem cropped up --- it's because the SVG uses two paths
(additive fill) and the .icon condenses to one path (evenodd fill). So to fix
the script, we'd probably want to add NEW_PATH for every <p>, however in this
case it seems more efficient to just remove the extra path element.
