This patch adds tests for reading registered custom properties of types

Adding tests for stuff that's worked for a while.

Not sure if the image urls work yet even though it looks hooked up (haven't
digged into it). I also just noticed that properties registered to not inherit
don't invalidate correctly, will fix shortly.
