Is there any plan to consolidate this with ProfileDownloader (which downloads
profile picture), or any other mechanism that downloads GAIA/profile images?

Have we ruled out shipping the high-res avatar assets with Chrome (perhaps
if/when the new profile management feature ships)?

Are there other scenarios where we download high-res resources at runtime?

Having some better notion of precedent, alternatives, and plans for this feature
would make me more comfortable. Sorry for not having asked this earlier.
