I am a bit surprised to see here changes as old as Jun 10. Can you please check
the sanity of the output?

The June 10th change was started on the 10th, uploaded on the 14th, went through
several iterations, and was merged on July 22nd:

source/config/vpx_version.h should have been updated when you ran
generate_gypi.sh. Can you check that? Otherwise LGTM

Yes, steps 2 and 3 are now done. It has generated an update to vpx_version.h,
and I manually updated the date and revision in README.chromium.
