Well that's an orthogonal discussion on blink-dev. I just removed this unused
embedder callback which was brought up on the thread. It was used by chromeframe
but now that it's gone, we should have removed the callback.

Is this something that could reasonably be useful for embedders, in which case
you should totally bring this up on embedder-dev? Or is this a weird internal
lever that no embedder should ever need, in which case good riddance?

IMO we shouldn't have code because it could be useful for embedders. If an
embedder needs something, at the very least we would have a comment to make it
clear to not delete it because it's used outside our repo (which we've done in a
few places)
