Do we really need to add these? Can't we simply fix the callers? I don't like
these, especially without an assertion making sure context is non-null.

We can fix other callers, I was trying to minimize the patch for review by
splitting it in to two patches. But I realized later my second patch changed
about 4 files and I think its not too bad to include the changes in one. I will
do that.
