PTAL. Although you're working on a more correct fix for this, I think we need to
merge something up the release branches right away. One of the logs I've looked
at indicates that the rename dance failed while deleting the registry values,
which a) shouldn't happen (out of our control!) and b) shouldn't result in a
b0rked Chrome (within our control). Thanks
