Maybe this should have a sentence "Use this if all of your text is a link. If
you need text that contains embedded links but also regular text, use
HyperlinkTextView"?

Done.

(Another difference: HyperlinkTextView doesn't currently play nice with focus
rings / keyboard accessibility. But that's maybe implied from other properties,
so not worth mentioning).
