lgtm

One suggestion: for historical investigations it would be good to describe the
range of the original commits that are pulled in with this update.

Even better: the list of one line descriptions of the commits. Something like
output of this command running in the support library repo directory:
git log --oneline c5c0045d..HEAD customtabs/src/android/support/customtabs/

The very ideal would probably be to cherry-pick the commits individually, but
this is arguably more effort, not insisting on that.
