+# Dr. Memory
+
+Dr. Memory (www.drmemory.org) is an open-source dynamic memory
+monitoring tool for Windows, Linux, and Mac.

+## About Dr. Memory
+
+Dr. Memory operates on unmodified application binaries running on
+Windows, Linux, or Mac on commodity IA-32 and AMD64 hardware.
+It is capable of identifying memory-related programming errors including:
+  * accesses of uninitialized memory
+  * accesses to unaddressable memory (heap underflow and overflow)
+  * accesses to freed memory
+  * double frees
+  * memory leaks
+  * handle leaks (on Windows)
+  * GDI API usage errors (on Windows)

+## Using Dr. Memory
+
+Build your application with debug information and then run it under

+The Dr. Memory package is provided as a self-extracting archive

Are the steps different for linux/mac?  the syntax will be (.exe etc). Maybe
need another section under here to cover both.

Dr. Memory currently only supports 32-bit (64-bit port in progress), where most
Linux and Mac applications are 64-bit. Also we only add the
DrMemory-Windows-sfx.exe for testing pdfium on Windows.

Do you think if we should specify it is Windows only somewhere or add a section
for Linux/Mac usage?

+To run your application with Dr. Memory, simply put 'drmemory.exe --'
+before the command that invokes the application.
