Is this the behavior we current exhibit? That is, if I have
`crossorigin="ljkahsfgkjbsdnfk;j"`, what happens?

The invalid value default for the crossorigin attribute is "anonymous", 

 https://html.spec.whatwg.org/#cors-settings-attribute

so this looks consistent with that.
