I am the maintainer of args. :)

The code changes look fine. In addition, you'll want to do one of two things:

1. Change the version in the pubspec to 0.12.1-dev.
2. Change the version in the pubspec to 0.12.1 and the publish it to
pub.dartlang.org after the patch lands.

Either way, you also should add an entry to the CHANGELOG.md for this.

Ah, ok. I just bumped the version to 0.12.1-dev, and I plan to tackle a few more
open issues soon. I'll try to work these quickly so that we can bump a release
this month?

FYI, README.md still recommends using [getUsage] rather than [usage].
