This has to go in so we can remove the Options class.  If it breaks anything I
can help fix it.  It doesn't break the pkg/polymer/build tests.

This is going to be a breaking change for polymer users. Most users need to pass
the parameter through (like in example #5).

I can send an announcement in the web-ui list about this.
