I ran the tests with the following commands and it passed. I am not sure what
failed the first time. 

tools/test.py -mrelease -v --use-sdk pkg/docgen/test/single_library_test

Is this the appropriate way to run the tests for the VM?

Did you run test.py before or after updating the status file?
