library variable, top-level getter or top-level setter, the static type of $e$ 
is the static type of the getter invocation $id$.
I think this is ok - the static type of the getter invocation $id$ is dynamic if
there is no declaration. It is not easy to see that this is not a
self-reference: The static type of the expression $id$ is the static type of the
getter invocation $id$, which is defined somewhere else.
