This is yasm 0.8.0.2194 built with gcc-sjlj (4.2).
This version sufficient to build ffmpeg, libvpx and libjpeg-turbo.

In the future, yasm 1.1 would be preferable on Windows, but the 1.1 binary has
an additional LIBINTL-8.DLL dependency which I didn't want to include at this
time.

Adding yasm is a step toward building asm within chrome gyp files.

Isn't yasm included in the cygwin already there? Couldn't it be reused?

yes cygwin comes with yasm.
hbono's tests show this version runs out of memory.  So we'll either need to
build the patched 0.8.0, or move to 1.1

The existing yasm package should include all that?
I can add a README.chromium that shows how to build yasm for Windows.

Yes. That would help. Put a pointer to the license that lives with the
yasm source, too. People shouldn’t have to hunt this kind of
information down.
