Link applications with -Wl,-ObjC to keep Objective-C implementations available

You have to admit, my fix from earlier today was really slick, but when I tried
a release build, I wound up arguing with both the optimizer and dead code
stripper.  As you're both aware, I could have beaten both into submission with
one hand tied behind my back, but halfway into doing that, I realized
something...

...when I tried -ObjC earlier in the day and found it to not work, it's because
I was putting the setting in the wrong place and it wasn't getting used.  In
fact, I can prove that I knew about -ObjC all along, which doesn't really say
all that much for me.  Oh well.

This isn't slick in the same sort of "wow, ingenious!" way but it works more
reliably, even in release mode.  So this is what we're doing.
