What does it take to build this from sources?

I would like to get to this soon though it's not an R8 blocker.  See
crosbug.com/3437 - the main problem was that I didn't have luck with
pulling the sources from svn using the subversion eclass.  The
hard-host-depend version also needs to be built with different options
than the x86-generic one.  It certainly seems doable though.

eclass issues.

Cool!  Mandeep asked about this yesterday and then must have pushed
that CL to fix subversion.  I do want to fix this the right way, the
only thing remaining then is to detect if we're building as part of
hard host depends vs the target and patch the makefiles differently.

Will tc-is-cross-compiler from toochain-funcs.eclass tell you what you need?
