I was under the impression that the autotest framework does not like keys which
are not valid python identifiers.  For instance a/b or even a\/b as re.escape
would change it.  Certainly the constraint checking code couldn't work with
these.  You probably need to do some more sophisticated escaping to make this
work with all of autotest.  I won't block the change for it, but beware. :)

I replaced all "." and "/" characters with "_". That should keep autotest happy.
